My name is Lina Göransson and I am a freelancing Illustrator and Graphic Designer. I live and work in Stockholm, Sweden, but have employers from many parts of the world.

The work I do is influenced by a mix urban and rural impressions. I believe that is because I was born in the countryside of Dalarna, Sweden, but have lived in cities the last third of my life. So I have a need for both open landscapes and vast facades. These different ways of life are mirrored in my work.

In illustrations, my basic technique is black felt pen on white paper. Sometimes colour come in, at other times the illustrations stay black and white. I also use other techniques such as Adobe Illustrator or plain paint. In either case, I like to think that graphic shape and form comes first, and that the means to get there, be it crayons or computer software, comes second.

In doing Graphic Design I try to go deep into the needs of the client. I, of course, want to make beautiful printed matters, but I don't perceive that to be the core of the assignments. Making a clear statement and getting through to the receiver is.
